The least that Powers could serve was six years for the meshing in a mans murder. While she was on the run, having a sun, getting marri ed, and being a good citizen, this officers family was suffering from his death. Everyone who participated in this crime needed to right for the price of this mans life, not just the one who shot him.Susan Ann Power received a balanced sentence of eight to twelve years. She proved that she would not continue in criminal activity. Power proved that she could become a law abiding citizen. Although she deserved to pay for her crime, her up standing life should have been taken into account as well.People labeled Benthams theory of the good life as the hog philosophy, because Benthams felt there were simply two true mediums pleasure and pain. He felt that the good is whatever brings the greatest happiness. Although at starting his theory was good is whatever brings the greatest happiness to the greatest number of people, he soon saw how the two parts contradicted each other.
